‘Afie” is a young native naturalist from Brunei with a keen interest in ichthyology and conservation. He has conducted a number of field trips guiding volunteers into the jungles of Brunei to explore and survey aquatic habitats and regularly writes articles on his findings via the C.E. Fish Essentials biotope blog. He is the founder of the Brunei Biotope Group which aims to gather like-minded individuals willing to learn about and contribute towards studying the aquatic ecosystems of Brunei and hopes to make a difference for the future of the many precious species inhabiting its rivers.
