Engin is a Turkish-Cypriot Londoner with a passionate interest in the freshwater ecosystems, limnology, and hydrology of Cyprus. Engin has volunteered with Freshwater Life Project on field trips to assess and survey habitats in Northern Cyprus, he has helped provide aerial imagery of survey areas, identify and map areas of importance for freshwater biodiversity, and connected with local people to better understand issues faced by people situated close to priority conservation areas.
