A major objective for our organization is to support existing freshwater conservation initiatives to achieve their conservation goals. Being a small organization ourselves we understand the difficulties around raising funds for nature conservation, especially the overlooked sector of freshwater. That being said, we have created a series of funding schemes that will make small grants of between £100-£500 (occasionally larger amounts) to institutions working in the areas of freshwater habitat preservation, conservation, creation, as well as research, including but not limited to taxonomy, phylogeny, threat assessment, in-situ and ex-situ captive breeding programs, and other works which will result in tangible, measurable results that will benefit threatened species, their habitats, and/or prevent, stop or reverse extirpations and extinctions of populations and or species in freshwater ecosystems.
