Neil is the founder of the Magic of Life Butterfly Centre in Aberystwyth, Wales where he works with various rare and endangered butterfly and moth species and many rare species of plants. He has a PhD in Rainforest Ecology and has conducted research throughout the rainforests of South America, West Africa, India and even Borneo & Sumatra.
